The Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology is set to relocate from its longtime home in northwest Milwaukee to a significantly larger facility in West Allis. The graduate school will move into the Summit Place office complex, a decision driven by the need for more space to accommodate its growing programs and student body.
School officials confirmed that the current campus, which has served the institution for decades, no longer meets the demands of its expanding curriculum. The new location at Summit Place offers roughly double the square footage, allowing for additional classrooms, updated clinical training labs, and dedicated spaces for student services. The move is expected to be completed by the start of the next academic year.
The transition to West Allis places the school closer to major highways and public transit routes, making it more accessible for students commuting from across the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Administrators also noted that the new facility will support the school's mission of training mental health professionals by providing a modern environment for both academic instruction and community outreach.
The Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology specializes in doctoral programs in clinical psychology. The relocation is seen as a strategic investment in the school's future, positioning it to handle rising enrollment and to deepen its partnerships with local healthcare providers. The Summit Place complex, a multi-tenant office park, will be renovated to suit the school's specific needs before the move takes place.
