HiBoop and The University of Victoria Partner to Modernize Mental-Health Services at UVic Psychology Clinic

VICTORIA, British Columbia, May 05, 2026 -- A new partnership between mental health tech firm HiBoop and the University of Victoria aims to bring the UVic Psychology Clinic into the digital age. The collaboration will replace traditional paper-based clinical assessments with a secure digital platform designed to improve efficiency and training.

The integration focuses on digitizing the entire assessment process. By moving to a digital system, the clinic hopes to streamline administrative tasks, reduce paperwork, and allow clinicians and graduate students to spend more time on direct client care. The platform also supports data-informed decision making, giving therapists better insights into patient progress.

For the university, the partnership offers a modern training environment for psychology students. Trainees will learn to use industry-standard digital tools, preparing them for a workforce that increasingly relies on technology. HiBoop's system is built with security protocols to protect sensitive patient data, addressing a common concern in digital health transitions.

Officials from both organizations expressed optimism about the change. They see the move as a step toward reducing wait times and improving the quality of care at the clinic, which serves both the campus community and the wider Victoria area. The rollout is expected to begin in the coming months.
